Happy Holidays + Adventures in the Queue
What a year! There is much to be thankful for and much awaiting us in the new year.
Buying a house and property in the gorgeous Bitterroot Valley of Montana was the highlight of the year. My mind is abuzz with thoughts of how to setup my new studio – all while not anticipating the packing and sorting that will begin next spring. 2019 will be a year of preparing and clearing out the old. I'm planning a Studio Sale sometime in the spring or early summer – stay tuned for that!
Then there were all the adventures: Tuscon and the Sonoran Desert. Hearst Castle and Morro Bay. Sierra Wildflowers. Mendocino. Germany. Prague. Krakow. Eagle Point Labyrinth. Dressing up Victorian. Death Valley. I'm very grateful to have a crazy man in my life who loves to go on adventures, though some of those adventures were with good friends and my daughter.
Creating and teaching my first online class, Earth Prayers Online, was tons of work and very much a joy. My next class is title A Visit with Grandmother Ocean and its scheduled to happen in June of 2019. This class will include watercolors as well as pen and ink and of course lots of wonderful ocean conversations.
In the last few years, I've shifted my painting style and decided I need a new website to showcase my latest work. The site will go live in January as a brilliant start to the new year. I'll send a note when the site is up along with news on my upcoming shows. There is one in March at the Twin Pines Gallery and a joint show with my photographer husband, Cass Kalinski, in June at the Rinconada Library in Palo Alto.
And last but very much not least, please join me in Come To the Fire, a year long creative adventure hosted by Heidi Beaubriand. I will be teaching how to paint your words and a bit of Earth Prayers in March. Its only $87 and it's a great way to kick off the new year!
much love to you and yours,
