new moon, new year, new adventures

Last Sunday evening at dusk, my daughter and I were driving back home from Grandma and Grandpa's. I looked over and could just make out the faint cresent of the new moon. Seemed appropriate for the week. New moon, new year, new adventures.

We went to a New Year's party that was kid friendly New Year's Eve. (Meaning midnight happens at 9pm when the ball falls in New York). It was a good party for chatting with other folks. I ended up in two separate conversations in which I shared the changes in my life in the last year. Both people were very supportive and encouraging; both were people I had never met before. I felt like the universe was making sure I had confirmation that I am walking the path I need to walk right now.

Maybe thats why I finally started a new painting today.
